Amitabha Empowerment & Powa Transmission
After repeated requests from many students, Rinpoche consented to confer Amitabha and Powa empowerment. On 7th March, 2010, at least 350 participants attended the empowerment.
One of Amitabha’s vows was to realize the aspiration of any being, who did not accumulate the negativity of the *five inexpiable crimes or slandering the dharma, and who wished to be born in *Dewachen. Hence, it is possible for any being to escape cyclic existence and be reborn in Dewachen. Rebirth in Dewachen is the swiftest path to enlightenment. In Dewachen, one will be able to gradually attain enlightenment by listening to the Dharma. The practice of Powa, in order to reach Dewachen, is very meritorious. It is important to have faith that the prayer for Dewachen will cause rebirth in Dewachen, bring everlasting happiness and prevent rebirth in the three lower realms.
